🛡️ Concept & Ethics
Does Cella-AI create a “ghost” or a digital clone of me?
No. Cella is not a “Ghostbot” designed to simulate life or deceive your loved ones. It is a Memory Mediator. The AI does not generate new thoughts; it only uses the memories, anecdotes, and advice you have entrusted to it to answer your loved ones’ questions using your tone and values. It is an interactive library, not an artificial resurrection.
What is the difference between Cella and a will or a letter?
A will is administrative and fixed. A letter is static. Cella is dynamic and contextual. Your loved ones can dialogue with your memory (“Dad, what did you think of my wedding?”) and receive a precise response drawn from your memories at the moment they need it emotionally.
Can I decide to delete everything?
Absolutely. During your lifetime, you have total control. After your passing, we apply a strict “Right to be Forgotten” policy. If the subscription is not renewed by your loved ones, or if the time limit you set is reached, all data is irrevocably deleted from our servers.
🔒 Security & Privacy (Sovereignty)
Who can see my data? (The police, Google, Cella-AI?)
No one. We use a Zero-Knowledge architecture. Your data is encrypted on your device before it is even sent to our servers. We do not possess the decryption key; only the death validation process (via the Keystone) allows access to be released to the beneficiaries. Even our engineers cannot read your secrets.
Where is my data stored?
Your data never leaves Europe. We host everything at OVHcloud (France), ensuring your memories are protected by GDPR and are not subject to the US Cloud Act (which allows the USA to spy on foreign data).
Which AI do you use?
We use Mistral AI, a cutting-edge French technology recognized for its performance and ethics, unlike American models (OpenAI, Google) which are often trained on personal data harvested without consent.
🕊️ Post-Mortem Operation
How does the system know I have passed away?
During your lifetime, you designate a “Keystone” (a trusted third party: friend, notary, family). This person will have the administrative responsibility to send us your death certificate via a secure interface. This human action is the only key that triggers the opening of the seals.
Will my wife see what I wrote to my best friend?
No. The system is partitioned. You create distinct “Files.” The beneficiary of File A has no technical means to access File B. Every relationship is unique and protected.
Can my loved ones download my memories?
No. Cella offers a right to visit, not a right of ownership. To prevent abuses (deepfakes, data resale), the interface allows for discussion and consultation, but not for the extraction of raw data.
💶 Pricing & Business Model
Why is the service not free?
Because you are not the product. “Free” services (Facebook, Google) fund themselves by selling your intimate data to advertisers. Cella refuses this model. The price covers secure storage, sovereign AI computing, and our structure’s independence.
What does the €1 reservation payment cover?
This symbolic payment guarantees:
- Priority placement in the first deployment wave (spaces are limited).
- A -20% lifetime discount on the final cost of your Seal (deductible upon final registration).
- It also serves as an anti-bot filter to ensure our users are real humans.
How much will my loved ones have to pay after my death?
The first month is free (provided by you through your Seal). Afterwards, if they wish to maintain access to the dialogue, they can subscribe to a modest maintenance plan (approximately €4.90/month). This is a voluntary act: if they stop paying, the digital mourning ends, and the data is erased.
